With the recent publication online of Inspiration-Letters 19 on the subject of time, I find myself contemplating time in a more creative manner than might ordinarily be the case.
The continuum of time is sometimes portrayed as overlapping with past, present and future all simultaneously existing in the realm of the Eternal Now.
The way this notion expressed itself for me during this 2010 April Celebrations crystallized on April 13th with the conviction that the date was April 13, 1964, not April 13, 2010.
If the seed of the future is always present and vice versa, it seemed more fitting to forget about 2010 and travel in an inner time machine to feel that this April 13th anniversary celebration was taking place in 1964.
To embark on that day and all it offered in meditation, song and celebration from the perspective of feeling it was April 13, 1964 proved enormously powerful to accelerate gratitude, the inner cry and a feeling of intensity.
It is hard to express these inner moments in words but I wished to at least share this unusual perspective of claiming April 13, 1964 in this present 21st century time window. It lent such a mood of joy and aspiration to the activities and meditations of the day that I am almost prepared to declare it was my most powerful meditation on April 13th ever, even including when Sri Chinmoy was on earth.
We are certainly lucky to have a spiritual master who lends an inner feeling that his presence is as strong as ever. It makes our international gatherings in April and August just as precious as ever.
