Group Description

Spiritual Agnostics - A sanctuary for the continuously inquiring mind.

For spiritual agnostics, spirituality is found in a reverence for the ineffable. Spirituality is not about a belief in spirits or the occult. It is the awe experienced in response to the incalculable expanse of our universe. It is devotion to the quest for ultimate truth, not faith in dogma or the teachings of a guru. It is humility in the face of the current limits of human understanding, and also a healthy respect for the scientific method as a means of revealing more about our wondrous universe.

Topics covered include God or Ultimate Truth; life and death; the human mind; ethics and social justice; our universe; and the limits of knowledge. However, we are first and foremost a fellowship for like-minded people interested in leading fulfilled, ethical lives without religion. So, while we encourage and regularly partake in philosophical debate, our emphasis is on community and relationship building.

All are welcome in the discussion, but our perspective is particularly compatible with the worldviews of Secularists, Rationalists, UUs, Deists, Natural Pantheists, Atheists, and other Freethinkers.
