      Chemistry    Demonstrations and Hands-On Activities

      Students (through age 15) are invited to view a series of chemistry demonstrations (explosions, lights, smoke, and chemical and physical changes) and participate in a hands-on chemistry laboratory at Oregon State University !

      Thursday, October 26, 2006

      3:00-4:50pm

      Gilbert Hall 224*

      Oregon State University

      Corvallis, Oregon

      (Located on the second floor of the Chemistry Building at 21st and Monroe )

      RSVP required.  Please indicate the number of students, number of adults, and affiliation—if any—that will be attending to nafshunr@chem. orst.edu by October 20, 2006.  Intended for all students: 4H, Scouts, home schooled, public schooled, private schooled, clubs, teams, societies, unions, guilds, squads, groups, and bands.

      Groups of students through age 15 may be accompanied by adults.  Please consider a student to adult ratio of 2:1 for students younger than 8.

      Hosted by the Oregon Section of the American Chemical Society and the Oregon State University Department of Chemistry.

      * Near 4pm we will move from Gilbert 224 to GBAD 009 for the laboratory.
