      Real Members --- A Parable

He was looking for humanity and couldn't find it anywhere
He examined each person, looking for the facts.
He looked at what they said, he looked at their acts.
Everyone he looked at was wanting, nobody met his standards,...
except the people he loved, he didn't look at them.

      He was looking for members,
      who would tranform the world,
      gather together,
      to build palaces of humanity
      To tranform the world!
      He gathered some friends,
      and isolated and alone,
      they built up a dream,
      a world of their own!
      They built it of glass,
      tall, to the sky.
      Standing in communities,
      there yet alone.

In the mirror he looked so magnificent,
      He and his family.
From the tops of the towers,
he could look down on humanity.

He was seeking to defend humanity,
      looking through the glass;
      to define its real members,
to keep out the "enemies" who might be angry,
      who might cause troubles,
      Who might have problems,
      who might have fears,
      or shout out screams
Who might see a different world,
from the one he could control,
      Who might disturb his harmony,
      Who might disturb his dreams!
Surely such people don't belong to humanity!

He looked under the facial signs,
      he looked deep in cracks,
      Everyone was wanting, nobody cares!
Full of desires, hatreds and fears!
      Nobody perfect, grudging and flawed!
      They were all enemies,
of his world, of his views!
None of them real members of humanity,
      all posers, liars and troublemakers.
      Look see what they do?
They would throw rocks at my glass palaces!
      They complain and they moan!
So he threw rocks back at them,
      and destroyed his own home.

      Chris
