      Hi,

The Friends of Bitter Lake NWR held their quarterly
meeting yesterday, Saturday. The Friends have
scheduled the 6th Annual Dragonfly Festival at the
refuge this year on August 18th and 19th at the new
Joseph Skeen Visitor Center on the refuge here in
southeastern New Mexico. The schedule of events will
be posted on the Bitter Lake home page.

After the meeting we went down to the west slough of
Unit 5 to look at the dragonflies and damselflies.
