We walked downstream from the headquarters in Hot Springs Canyon for
      about 2.5 miles.
We found water at about mile 2. Along the way several Coue's deer,
      about 20 coatimundis
many lizards and 1 rattlesnake were seen. After parking at
      headquarters, walk back a short
distance along the road and turn left down the wash to enter Hot
      Springs Canyon. There was
some water near the road but that quickly vanished.
