Rich Bailowitz and I went to the San Manuel Pond and the nearby San Pedro River yesterday. It was a nice warm day (86 degrees) that started with a Gila Monster crossing the road and Gray Hawks circling over the pond. The day ended with a tom turkey gobbling and displaying along the river as we returned to the car. We had a total of 30 species for the day with highlights being the earliest records in Arizona for Turquoise-tipped Darner and Great Pondhawk. The Pondhawk was early by about 2 months!

American Rubyspot 100's               Giant Darner 1
      Spine-tipped Dancer 1                    Blue-eyed Darner 10
      Kiowa Dancer 50                            Turquoise-tipped Darner 1
Lavender Dancer 10                       Gray Sanddragon 3
Aztec Dancer 15                              Black Setwing 6
Amethyst Dancer 40                       Plateau Dragonlet 2
      Blue-ringed Dancer 30                    Western Pondhawk 3
Dusky Dancer 3                               Great Pondhawk 1
      Double-striped Bluet 6                     Flame Skimmer 12
Familiar Bluet 20                              Roseate Skimmer 30
Arroyo Bluet 60                                Blue Dasher 4

That Great Pondhawk date is early for the whole Southwest. Old early date was 6/8/12 in Colorado - from an entry at OC; what a great day!! Kathy
