      Rich Bailowitz and I looked at three ponds in the Safford area. They included Dankworth Pond, Roper Lake and Frye Creek pond. A total of 39 species were found.

      Common Green Darner - 15
      Blue-eyed Darner - 15
      Ringtail sp - 1
      Red-tailed Pennant - 6
      Four-spotted Pennant - 12
      Halloween Pennant - 1 ( there are now around five records of this species in the state all at Roper Lake)
      Checkered Setwing - 30
      Black Setwing- 2
      Swift Setwing- 1  (this species is only known from three localities in the state. This is the first record south of the Gila River)
      Western Pondhawk - 25
      Comanche Skimmer - 30
      Neon Skimmer- 5
      Widow Skimmer - 60
