      I spent approximately one hour (11 AM – 12:15 PM; clear, calm, 80 F)
      today along the Wild Horse Pass stream, Maricopa, AZ, where 18 species
      were still flying – see complete list below.

      The best find was a male Tezpi Dancer, Argia tezpi, which represents
      only the second county record of this species. Of note, this male was
      observed within 100 ft of where a male of this species was found in

      2. Blue-eyed Darner, Rhionaeschna multicolor: 10-15
      3. White-belted Ringtail, Erpetogomphus compositus: 5
      4. Flame Skimmer, Libellula saturata: 6 males
      5. Roseate Skimmer, Orthemis ferruginea: ~20, mostly mature
      males
      6. Widow Skimmer, Libellula luctuosa: 1 male
      7. Red-tailed Pennant, Brachymesia furcata: 2 males
      8. Mexican Amberwing, Perithemis intensa: 15
      9. Variegated Meadowhawk, Sympetrum corruptum: ~20, inc. pairs
      in tandem/wheel
      10. Blue Dasher, Pachydiplax longipennis: 25
      11. Western Pondhawk, Erythemis collocata: 5 males

      2. Blue-ringed Dancer, Argia sedula: 15 males
