"Konstantin Culen: Early Chronicler of Slovaks in America"

In 1942, the Slovak League in Bratislava published a two-volume set of
books, "Dejiny slovakov v Amerike," based on the extensive research
efforts of Konstantin Culen. Later this year, a condensed version of
this work will be published in English, with new footnotes and an index.
Dr. Ference has written an extensive forward for this work, and he will
discuss the life of Konstantin Culen as well as the content and
production of the English version of the book.
Dr. Ference is Professor of History at Salisbury State University in
Maryland, where he specializes in Eastern European, Russian, Japanese,
and Chinese history.
