Try searching Old Fulton County Postcards (http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html) for things like:

      Sokol

      Sokol Newark

      Sokol Newark "New Jersey"

      Sokol "Newark NJ"

I've found that archive to have a great many articles about nothing to do with New York; it even included stuff my little old rural hometown in Kentucky from 1965 about the post man making deliveries on the 38th parallel.

      Regards,

My dad was a gymnast with the Sokols who met at the Sokol Hall on Morris Avenue in Newark, N.J. back in the 1920-40's. I've been trying to find articles or photos for the group, but have not had any luck. If anyone is familiar with the Newark branch of the Sokols, please contact me. Thank you.
