      Your parental villages did not have a traditional Goral majority, although some inhabitants certainly could have been Gorals and the European languages, especially the Slavic languages, often feature cross-border similarities.

      Some features are considered key to distinguishing the origins of the Slavic dialects/languages. You may consider, for instance, which of the two in each of these pairs you say:

      "cow" - krava or krova?
      "mountain" - hora or gura [goora]?
      "children" - d~et~i or dz~ec~i [dzhetshee]?

      It will provide a hint, not a definitive answer.
