      Not a contradiction in a general sense, just a technicality -- no one except the people who documented their German ethnic origin and received German citizenship on that basis could be members of the NSDAP, i.e., the Nazis.

      There were sympathizers, and in Slovakia also members of the country's own authoritarian and totalitarian (according to its own definition of its rule) party, but any actual Nazi party members were few and far between -- only some of Slovakia's ethnic Germans.
