      Lukac's promotion - and his work in the USX mills in Slovakia and the States after USX acquired the Kosice plant is an interesting story. It's refreshing to see that the USX executives didn't just go into the Kosice plant and "clean house", management wise.

      Not exactly a reversal of fortunes, but after thousands of Slovak
      immigrants worked at the Carnegie/US Steel plants as laborers, a
      recent immigrant from Slovakia, Anton Lukac, has just made it to the
      top executive at the USX headquarters in Pittsburgh:

      Incidentally, the grandparents of the CEO of USX John Goodish
      immigrated to the US from the village of Volica in north-eastern
      Slovakia (south of Medzilaborce). About 30% of its population claim
      Rusyn ethnicity today, about 90% adhere to one of the Eastern
      Christian rites.
