RE: [Slovak-World] Really fast
- Miner Dave:
My wife's Great-Great-Uncle was William Orlando Smith.
William Orlando Smith was editor or the paper in Punxatawney and
a member of the U.S. Congress from Pennsylvania.
Groundhog Day was newspaper promotion to get Pittsburgh people to
Punxatawney during the winter and get the jump on the
spring tourist season.
He managed to get his newspaper's tourist promotion declared
a National holiday.

Subject: [Slovak-World] Really fast
Greg: This new Slovak World is really fast. When I send out a message, it
is back within seconds. Just like on a chat line. We member of Slovak World
thank you for setting up the new Slovak World up. As you know, the old
Slovak World is just about ready to bite the dust. I think the timing
coincides with "Groundhog Day." Here in PA. it is a national holiday. Even
our new Governor of PA is going to be on hand for the great day of
festivities. Everyone will be happy, except the groundhog. Hmmm, do they
have groundhogs in Slovakia?
