An opinion poll released in the Czech R. on Friday showed again that
the Czech's most favorite nation is Slovakia. All such Czech polls
since the separation have put Slovakia at the top, and the Czechs have
always been at the top in Slovak opinion polls. After Slovakia, the
Czechs mostly favor West European countries. Russia and Ukraine have
consistently been among the Czechs' least favored nations:

      Czechs' positive rating of:

      89% Slovakia
      83% Netherlands
      83% Sweden
      80% Denmark
      80% France
      [...]
      72% Austria
      69% Croatia
      65% Poland
      65% Slovenia
      [...]
      63% Hungary
      57% Germany
      49% USA
      [...]
      36% Russia
      31% Ukraine

The Czechs' rating of the Americans used to be at around 60% until the
2002 opinion poll after which it dropped to 42% and has been slowly
recoverning since. Among foreign politicians, the Czechs' preferences
for British Premier Blair were 63% this year, Slovak Premier Dzurinda
49%, President Bush 36%, and Russian President Putin 35%.
