Slovak has only 5 basic vowels (plus their long and diphthongized
versions), such rhymes/alliteration occur on a massive scale in
Slovak, so they're not really noticed by the native speakers -- Slovak
poets employ alliteration only in very rare instances, and then it
takes the literature teacher quite some effort to persuade the
students that there's supposed to be anything special about it.
Understandably, the government tourist board is targeting it at
foreigners , especially the Czechs, Poles, and Germans, so it looses
some, or all of the _a_s: Mala velka zeme; Maly wielki kraj; Ein
kleines grosses Land; Little Big Country.
