    Sorry, I just grabbed the one stem by the side of the road and threw it away after snapping the picture. It's probably catmint, self seeded and growing wild.

Group Description

Formed in 1940, the Silver Spring Garden Club meets monthly.
Most members live in Silver Spring, MD, or the DC-area.

Meetings are normally held at Brookside Gardens the third Monday of each month except July, August, and December. The meetings are open to the public and free.

To join, pay at a meeting or mail your check ($10 per individual member or $15 per household/coouple), made payable to the "Silver Spring Garden Club," to our President, Kathy Jentz, 826 Philadelphia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Our nominal dues fee is one of the best bargains in town, and includes discounts to local businesses.

Our newsletter, The Grapevine, is published monthly except July and August.

The big annual Silver Spring Garden Club fundraiser is the Garden Mart plant sale takes place the Saturday before Mother's Day from 9am -1pm. Come early in the day for best selection!
