Aztlan Archaeology, Inc., has an immediate opening for a temporary archaeological field technician to assist with several construction monitoring projects in Tucson. The first project starts on September 7 and is anticipated to last one month. Additional projects of varying length are anticipated to begin later in September and in October.

The successful applicant will have previous Southwest archaeological survey and excavation experience with a familiarity with current archaeological methods.  Due to the immediate need for personnel, preference will be given to applicants who currently are based in the Tucson or Phoenix area. Wages for field technicians range from $14 to $17 per hour, commensurate with experience.  Applicants must provide their own transportation to the job site on the west side of Tucson and lodging in the Tucson metropolitan area. No per diem will be paid, and there are no exceptions.

If interested in this position, please contact us immediately at (520) 620-1480 or aztlan@theriver. com We will need a résumé, cover letter with contact information, and list of references.
