The requirements for this full time staff position include a M.A. or
M.S. degree in architectural history or related field; at least five
years practical experience with Section 106/NEPA compliance and
completion of architectural/history surveys, NRHP evaluations and
nominations, and HABS/HAER documentation; good writing and
communication skills; ability to meet deadlines; and willingness to
travel. The ability to prepare scopes of work and labor estimates,
as well as meet scope, schedule, and budget obligations is also

military, transportation, federal land management, and other sectors.

Position Title: Architectural Historian
Chambers Group Inc, an environmental consulting firm located in Southern California (www.chambersgroupinc.com), has an immediate need for an Architectural Historian for various projects in Southern California and potentially other states. Candidate must conduct architectural research and historic structure evaluations in support of project needs and write sections of project reports. Candidate should meet Caltrans/BLM/USFS requirements of qualifications. Candidate will work with technical field and office staff, managers and administrative staff to ensure that projects meet quality standards. The position has the potential to convert to salaried full time.
