      Seen on various lists:

The Department of Classics seeks to make an appointment of a Classical
Archaeologist at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor. Ph.D.
required. We seek a field-oriented individual with strong potential for
externally funded research. Bronze Age or Early Iron Age specialty
preferred. The successful candidate will show strong promise of scholarly
achievement, as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching Greek or Latin
at the undergraduate level. We will begin to screen applications on
November 30 and will continue to review them until the position is filled.
Please send application and dossier to David Tandy, Chair of the Search
Committee, Department of Classics, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN
37996-0413. The University of Tennessee is an EEO/AA/Title VI/Title
IX/Section 504/ADA/ADEA institution in the provision of its education and
      employment programs and services.
