- Hello, my name is Stephanie and I need some information and help with ICD's.
I'm writing you for my friend and her husband who don't have access to the
Greg is 34 years old and has recently been implanted with an ICD. Prior to
this he was having periods of dizziness and blacking out. He was fitted for
the device and seemed to be fine until about 3 weeks ago when his ICD shocked
him about 20 times in a row. His wife had to call 911 b/c Greg was flailing
on the sidewalk. The ICD was shocking him severly. Since then he has been in
and out of the hospital here in Florida and doctors cannot figure the problem
out. They have put him on medication to help him but it unfortunatlu has some
bad side effects. Can you help them in any way with some information on
possibly finding a better treatment facility or other specialist in the
country? They are willing to travel and have insurance. If you need any other
medical information from them please let me know. Any help you can give them
would be very apperciated.
- Dear Stephanie,
Try Dr. Ronald Haberman in Joplin, MO. Unfortunely, I do not know his
mailing address or his e-mail. And I thought that I almost had a nervous
fit when it turned that2/3 of the shocks I received weren't supposed to
happen, turned out to be a faulty sensor wire.
But if somehow you get a hold of Dr. Haberman, pkease send me his address.
He used to practic here in Phoenix, AZ. Sincercly, Helen D. Rice
P.S. Tell him I said Hi and thanks a lot.
