Are you running off the BDI?

If not, try saving under a slightly modified name, like "my mm setup" to the Desktop it looks like you're trying to overwrite a setting file in a protected directory from the install/installer.

      Best of luck,

Yes, I am running of Brain Dead Install.

I found that I had more than one similar file with different names in the config folder.

After a bit of reading I decided to try the sim axis config from the command line and again LinuxCNC crashed. Below the log file. Again - doesn't help me at all. Any suggestions welcome.

Sort of. I run two rotary tables on my mill, but they're not arranged or used in the normal "5-axis" way. The program has no idea what I'm doing and the graphics on the screen are all screwed up, but it works for me for now. I just gcode the xyzab moves and they move. If I had the time, I'd figure out how to get EMC2/LinuxCNC to understand.
