... Mall bookstores, in my experience, have never had an extended SFF selecton. Usually, they carry the bestsellers and the genre Names, but that s about it.

For a really good selection of Science Fiction I find that I will go to a
Sci Fi/Fantasy Specialist, or buy online. While Borders has a fairly wide
selection, I am still often limited to what has been released here in
Australia, or pay a premium to have it imported even by Borders.

Generally I find it easier to order from Amazon, or Clarks World online. In
Australia, there are a couple of Sci Fi/Fantasy Specialist stores, Galaxy
Bookshop in Sydney is one, even though I haven't visited since I stopped
working in the Sydney CBD (nearly 7 years) - but they got a good chunk of my
disposable cash in my younger days.

I lament the lack of good Sci Fi/Fantasy in Brisbane.

The Moon Witch is out now and The Star Witch is coming
soon. I just wanted to say that I read everything also
and I think that romances are great. After all its
something that everyone at some point in tgime has
gone through or tried. I finally read Charmed Sphere.
I liked it even though it had some parts that were
underdeveloped but I found out that she has another
story out in an anthology. It helps explain Iris'
romance to the king better. If someone could help me
and tell me where I could get it I would love to read
it. I haven't been able to find it at Barnes and
Noble. Oh and Anne I have a uncle who lives in Germany
he says the name is more "old country" whatever that
                  means sorry I couldn't help

so I am not offended, but I love to read and I work a 40 hour job,
intern 22 hours a week and try to spend quality time with my son when
it is my time to have him and I still manage to get in at least 8
hours of reading a week. I have many different genres on my
bookshelves and I enjoy all of them. I think the part Anne was
talking about was the comments aimed at specific types of people.

the music and movie departments seem bigger each time I go. However, I did
find the sci-fi book I was looking for. I didn't buy it there as I had
enough to carry home after Dragon*Con--lol. When I got back here to spend
the Border's gift card my brother gifted us with I had to place an order for
the same book as the department was somewhat bare (I live in MD.) However,
please know you can order all of these books at any Borders or BN's--you can
even do this over the phone :).
