Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
            Serpentius_Militia group:

Part A: Should we choose an event per quarter (4 per year)
that are Serpentius events? Of those 4 events, we would ask
that everyone make an effort to attend at least 2 (preferably
one out of your region) per year. That would mean that
everyone tries to make 3 events per year including Pennsic.

            o Yes
            o No
o Yes, but only choose 2 events in total per year

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
                    Serpentius_Militia group:

Please read and answer this question carefully.
Should Serpentius host a party at Pennsic? If you answer yes
you are agreeing to donate funds for the party.
If yes, should it be a private party with guests only OR
one open to all. If we decide to open it to anyone, then we will also need money
for more land as Serpentius does not have enough land for a
large party-that may also mean getting kicked off the block
as we may be then too big. If we went private, it could be
done like ICOD-they have a couple guys at the gate and
basically you have to know someone in ICOD in order to be
                    let in.

o Yes, a private party as described above
o Yes, an open party as described above
                    o No

                                      Serpentius_Militia group:

Which FOUR events would you like to be "required" events in addition to Pennsic?

Reminder: we ask that you make it to two of the four required events. If life happens and you can't attend, that's life.

o Birka - Northern Region (Manchester, NH), last weekend of January. It's a three-hour long bear pit tournament, great shopping opportunities, lots of meetings, and its an RP. If you wish to stay in the hosting hotel, reservations should be made by October.
o Winter War - Northern Region (Potsdam, NY), last weekend of February. It's an indoor set of war games with both heavy fighting and fencing in a large field house. Some of the war scenarios include line battle, bridge battle, and lava and tar res battles. There are some A&S classes and a dayboard. Royals from Aelthelmarc and Eldomere are often in attendance. Cheap hotels and crash space are usually available.
o Mudthaw- Southern Region (Livingston, NJ), last weekend of March. It's a double-elimination heavy tournament, tournament for fencers, as well as thrown weapons. There are A&S displays and competitions. It is a RP event.
o War of the Roses - Central Region (Pattersonville, NY), Memorial Day weekend. It's a camping event with fighting, fencing, and archery and a lot of war games on Saturday including field, bridge, and other scenarios. Siege weapons and combat archery are allowed in some scenarios. There are some merchants available and A&S classes along with bardic and dancing in the evenings. When approaching troll, make sure you know which side you are going to be on (York or Lancaster). It is often an RP event.
o Southern Region War Camp - Southern Region (S. Middlesex County, NJ), end of June. Camping event with lots of heavy fighting and fencing. There are A&S classes scheduled and an Athena's Thimble panel. This event is kid-friendly.
o East Kingdom War Camp - Southern Region (Leihighton, PA), last weekend in June. Camping event with heavy fighting and fencing. Pool on site (when it's open). There is also a bar onsite along with merchants. It also usually has classes and an Athena's Thimble panel.
o Northern Region War Camp - Northern Region (Warrensburg, NY), 4th of July weekend. It's a camping event with heavy fighting, fencing, archery, and equestrian activities. There are war games on Saturday with field, bridge, and town battle scenarios. There are a few merchants available and some guild meetings. This is often an RP.
o Great Northeastern War - Northern Region (Hebron, ME), weekend after 4th of July. It's a camping event with heavy fighting, fencing, archery, and thrown weapons. There are merchants available. There are also A&S classes and competitions along with dancing and a bardic circle Saturday night. This is a RP event.
o River Wars - Southern Region (Williamstown, NJ), last weekend in September. It is a camping event with heavy fighting war games, fencing and archery. There will be a feast as well as room for equestrian activity. It is very kid-friendly. There are also A&S, scribal, and cooking competitions. Classes are often offered.
o 100 Minutes War - Southern Region (Sparta, NJ), the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The main event is a warlords speed tournament followed by 100 minute line battle including combat archery. There is also youth fighting, archery, thrown weapons, and fencing. There is usually a dayboard and an A&S display. The latrines leave a lot to be desired, you may want to bring TP. The number of fighters has been over 200 in the last few years.
