Field Day is an amateur radio event that encourages amateur radio
operators to set up amateur radio stations in outdoor locations.
These events have been promoted as opportunities for radio amateurs
to prepare for emergency situations in which amateur radio
      communications might be required.

Field Day 2006 for the Amateur radio community will be even greater
this year as it will also be in celebration to earmark "100 Years of
      Voice over Radio Worldwide".

Field Day 2006 is being organized by different Amateur Radio clubs
      within the Reno Nevada area.

Banding together under the "Northern Nevada Amateur Radio Educational
Coalition" they will be demonstrating different radio techniques
during this Field Day weekend. Scouting groups and other Amateteur
