Group Description

This Scientology Vegetarians group (Scientology-Vegetarians@YahooGroups.com) is for vegetarian Scientologists and students of Scientology to discuss (a) their experience, (b) why Scientologists should be vegetarian, and (c) what the experiences of vegetarian Scientologists SHOULD be.

Also interesting topics (but AS vegetarians) would be the life and teachings of L. Ron Hubbard, a.k.a. Ron Lafayette Hubbard, the founder of the Scientology movement; the political issues of the Scientology movement; and the general quest for personal health and individual authenticity, personal productivity and well-being, and social contribution; and the potential of human (and animal?) life itself for self-optimizing beliefs and strategies.

Is lifting ourselves up by our own bootstraps possible?

With the movement for self-improvement, many traditional religious cults have aggressively opposed the movement towards human self actualization and personal improvement, or have claimed somewhat dogmatically that, apart from the sponsorship and monitoring by their own community, teaching, and belief and behavioral system(s) one cannot find true personal development and self-actualization.

Vegetarians (of each type) are found within each of the major and minor world religious and spiritual pathways. Vegetarians (of each type) are also found among Scientologists, but never (before) have they been brought together as a dialoguing community.
