      Hardluck

      Patti's World Famous Pumpkin Soup
      ¼ C butter
      1 C chopped onion
      1 clove garlic minced
      1 tsp. curry powder
      ½ tsp. salt
      ¼ tsp. coriander
      ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
      3 C chicken broth
      16 ounce can of pumpkin (plain)
      1 C half & half
      1 ½ C mushrooms (fresh)
      Small container sour cream
      Fresh chives - chopped

      In a large pot, melt butter, then add onion and garlic. Sauté until
      onions are soft, but not brown. Add curry powder, salt, coriander,
      red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and canned pumpkin. Simmer for
      about 10 minutes. Add the half & half and mushrooms. Simmer again for
      about five minutes. Serve in cup or small bowl. Immediately before
      serving top with a nice dollop of sour cream and 1 tbs. chopped
      chives. Enjoy!
