Hike for Sat Sept 7th - Pak Tam Au to Sai Wan Beach

The weather for this weekend is forecasted to be fine with sunshine, not too hot, seems like an early Autumn with some breeze, good to start a warm up hike before the official SaturadayHikers' hiking season in Oct. Well, still no promise for a perfect weather, could be some showers. Welcome to join if you don't mind to hike with an old mountain goat.
Date : Sept 7, Sat
Meeting Time: 10:00am
Meeting Place: Sai Kung Taxi stand, share taxi to Pak Tam Au.
Hiking Route: Pak Tam Au -> Ham Tin Beach-> Sai Wan Beach-> Sai Wan Pavilion-> Pak Tam Chung Country Park ( Optional, can take minibus to Pak TamChung country park or Sai Kung Town)
Hiking Distant: about 12- 15 Km
Hiking Time: Estimated about 5-6 hours (could be longer if long rest at beach)
Difficulty : Moderate( 3/5), this will be a long hike, but total ascend only about 400-450 meters, manageable, but definitely not for beginners nor first time hiker
Speed: Reasonable (2.5k-3k per hour) depend on fitness of participants.
Gradient: Mainly concrete and well defined dirt trail.
Thing to bring: At least 2L water, sport drink as needed, snacks, umbrella, hats sunblock, mosquito repellent, and most important proper hiking gear (not jeans) and good trekking shoes.
We plan to have early dinner at Sai Kung Town after the long hike.
