STATEMENT OF DG ISPR GEN SULTAN IS A WHITE LIE - CPP (COMMUNIST PARTY OF PAKISTAN).
- (ATTOCK - 30TH AUGUST, 2006) The DG ISPR Maj. Gen Shaukat Sultan held press conference yesterday evening, which was telecast by Geo TV, in which he said that the death of Akbar Bugti was not a result of targeted killing whereas the ground reality is that the statement of Gen. Sultan is a blatant white lie, as the Baluch National leader Akbar Bugti alongwith others were killed with gunship helicopters and other sophisticated weapons and now in the interest of justice, it is incumbent upon on the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the extra judicial killing of Bugti and others at the hands of military forces.
This was stated by the Chairman of Communist Party of Pakistan, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik in a press statement issued by the party secretariat here on Wednesday.
The police like statement of DG, ISPR that Army engineers have found a box containing Rs 100 million and $96,000 in cash from the cave in which Bugti was killed but it will take another three or four days to recover the dead body of Nawab from the debris is really a crux of white lie and also ridiculous one.
The CPP Chairman said that it is ridiculous on the part of DG ISPR that while addressing press conference, Gen Shaukat Sultan had constantly used the word "Shaheed" for the army officers, who were killed in Kohlu. Engineer Jameel questioned that how they can be called Shaheed according to Quran and Islam when they are killing the citizens of Pakistan and not citizens of any enemy country.
The Communist Party of Pakistan highly objected and criticized the word shaheed used by the DG of ISPR on such an occasion; as such type of word would further exaggerate the political situation of Baluchistan. The Pakistan Army, who is being maintained on the public exchequer, has no moral sanctity to kill its own citizens like Bugti, who remained Federal Ministers of Interior and Defence in the early 50's, Governor of Baluchistan in 1973 and Chief Minister in 1997.
Official statements, explanations and delusions from the pathological liars of the ISPR remind me of a saying of Alexander Solzhenitsyn - "In our country the lie has become not just a moral category, but a pillar of the state." Engineer Jameel concluded his statement with these remarks.
