{"Repeat the Name of your Beloved, day and night, again
and again. With care in thought, word and deed, you will
      cross to the other shore." -- Dadu}

[Below is presented an English rendering of Hindi translation of a verse of Sant Shivanarayan Swami ji, a great Saint in the Santmat tradition by Maharshi Santsewiji Maharaj, taken from the July 2005 edition of the Hindi Monthly "Shanti Sandesh" (Message of Peace), published from Maharshi Mehi Ashram, Kuppaghat, Bhagalpur India
      - English translation by
      Pravesh K. Singh (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sant_santati http://blog.360.yahoo.com/praveshksingh) ]

      The Original Verse (Phonetic version):

"Man re too laagi raho yahi or ||
Saar shabd kapaal bheetar hot anahad shor |

Suni samujhanhi man mudit nehaarat palak paro jani bhor ||
Milai Gangaa sahit Jamunaa sushamanaa kee or |
Ulati nain nihaaro bheetar krotin hot injor ||
Sunna aasan aapu saaeen basan rang ras bhor |
Shivanarayan kahi samujhaawal chitavat nain ke kor ||"

      English Translation:

[O Mind! Keep yourself resolutely focused in this very direction (in the Inner Sky).||

The Quintessential Primordial Sound is reverberating within your head (cosmos) along with myriads of other Sounds. |

Listen (to this Sound), appreciate and keep gazing intently within cheerfully, without being unmindful even for a moment. ||

Within you, the Ganga (`Idaa' nerve, the left current) along with the Yamuna (`Pingalaa' nerve, the right current) merge into the `Sushumnaa' (the central & principal nerve among the three main yogic nerves). |

Reverting your sight from the outside, look in a focused way within yourself; you would see there extremely dazzling, brilliant Light. ||

The Supreme Soul resides in the void; regaling, making merry in His shell (the Quintessential Sound), the spiritual practitioners get lost there. |

Shivanarayan has explained this (that if you want to get to Him), gaze, making the two currents of sight into one (i.e., practice the Meditation on Divine Light or "Drishti Yoga"). ||
