- Dear Venerable Sirs,
Ajahn Brahm wrote something like it is good to indulge in bliss
(jhanas) in meditation because the only results are the Aryan fruits.
(The jhanas are born of letting go, and one cannot be said to be
attached to them.)However, I read elsewhere the opinion that if you
meditate only to get peaceful and blissful, then you are wasting your
time. Is there some contradiction between these two views?
