We caught lots of fish in pine island sound a few weeks ago! Here's some recos:Fishing: either rent a boat out of Snook Bight Marina (on Fort Myers Beach) or if you'd rather get a charter, Capt. Brett is good. He's also at snook bight. The best restaurant on FMB also happens to be beside Snook Bight. It's called bayfront bistro. Really good food, nice atmosphere overlooking the marina and yacht club. Not sure about sailing there. I know there is a sailing school out of Captiva but other than that I don't know. If you find something (especially a Sabre owner who likes transient crew), let me know as we're down there quite a bit and would love to get out for a sail!Cheers,rFrom the iPhone of:Richard PeirceS/V Hacienda IITH&SC TorontoSabre 34 mkII Targa

Dear Sabre Sailors,
I'll be in the Fort Myers/Sanibel area the first weekend of March and I'm looking for a recommendation for a half or full day fishing charter AND a place to rent a sailboat for a day sail.
It looks like it will be too early for Tarpon but any day fishing is a very good day and getting in a WARM SAIL with my engine still winterized up here in Massachusetts would be great!
Oh, a recommendation for a couple of places to eat would also be much appreciated.
Thanks for your thoughts,
