It was interesting to see two of the young swim across the water in order to follow the parents up to and across the road that we were walking on.Also we saw two turkeys, an American bittern, several limpkins, as well as the more usual birds that are normally there. The Virginia Rail at Bailey Tract was still in the same location at 6:00 pm. The Least Bittern was at Lakes Park at 10:30 am. And several of us saw two Black Scoters at Bunche Beach after the bird patrol tour this morning. The Rail and the Bittern were both accompanied by Soras, and the Scoter was in the general area of a Loon. Ed Combs
