      All,

Had a new Charlotte County bird yesterday, a young Pomarine Jaeger in the middle of Charlotte Harbor. For those with boats wanting to look for this critter find the area in line with the mouths of Myakka River to the NW and Alligator Creek to the SSE and SW from Ponce De Leon Park and start looking for the feeding rafts of birds. There were numerous rafts of Forster's Terns in the area. Brown Pelicans feeding actively, joined loosely with rafts of Common Loons (>100 in view at once), Horned Grebes (~30+), Cormorants, RB Mergansers, and Laughing Gulls. The approximate lat / long was 26.939364, -82.041435.

      Happy hunting,
