Bunche Beach guided walk Saturday and RFI for Birding on Sanibel or nearby
I’m forwarding a request for birding information below.
There's a group in the area called Bird Patrol, and they are leading a tour on Bunche Beach this Saturday, the 19th, at 8 am. That should be a good trip - Bunche is awesome for shorebirds, and there will be some knowledgeable people in the group.
February 19, Saturday 8AM Bunche Beach
Guides: Ruth Woodall and Walt Winton. Located in So Ft. Myers off Summerlin Rd : Drive south on John Morris Rd until it deadends. Experience one of the best birding sites in Lee Co. Bring binoculars, sun protection, shoes that can get wet, a bottle of drinking water. Restrooms available in visitor’s center. Parking meter now has a $1 per hour charge. Tour usually lasts two hours. Meet at the beach picnic tables. 239-707-3015

Subject: Birding on Sanibel or nearby
My name is Wayne and I’m looking for a local birder to show me around and help identify some local shore birds which I would not be familiar with. I am from a town north of Toronto Canada . My wife and I are coming down to Lehigh acres (ft Myers) for a few days this up coming weekend and then back the following weekend after a trip to Marco island for 5 days.I too am an intermediate birder and have travelled a fair amount in pursuit of the elusive life birds. I am harmless and of early retirement age I am game for anything and carry bino’s and scope. if you feel you can help me out on sat or sun morning 19th or 20th or 26th that would be great and maybe I can return the favour here in Canada . Either way lunch is on me.
