and lighten the oil lamp, which will be assisted by His Beatitude
Catholicose Baselios Thomas I and several Metropolitans.

Its central office is in Los Angeles, California, which was
inaugurated recently by Catholicose Baselios Thomas I. The Patriarch
has appointed a twenty-five member Executive Board with portfolios
and an Advisory Board which are directly under his supremacy,
representing various countries. Former Patriarchal Assistant,

Joseph Mor Gregorios are from India. For the Advisory Board, H.E
Thomas Mor Themotheos is one of two chairmen. Others from Indian
origin are: Dr.Abraham Edathara, Chief Executive Officer, Fr. Babu
Peringol, Secretary General (former State Education Advisory Board
member, Kerala), Lony Thomas, Treasurer, Dr. Susan Jacob Matteethra,
Director of Medical Education, Dr.D.Babu Paul ( former additional

Poothicote, Director of Medical Programs, Dr. Abraham Korah, Director
of Communication and Sara Varghese Chamathil, Director of Volunteer
      Medical Core.

Secretary General Father Peringol said that the immediate goal for
the organization is the relief and re-settlement of refugees of war
in Iraq which the organization has already started to work with
United Nations and other relief agencies. The long term goals are to
establish a volunteer medical core in different parts of the world to
dispatch to the victims of calamities and to establish a Patriarchal
University with a medical branch where it is necessary. Also he said
that organizing the chapters in each country is in progress.
