      I did not seem to find the source for the Syriac text, and this is the first time I hear of Grant R. Jeffrey's "discovery". I think is is unlikely Ephrem. Even the Syriac work's in Beck's scholarly edition of Ephrem which deal with the end of the world and the after world are actually attributed to Ephrem and belong to a later date.
