       Dear Dr. Kiraz,

There are Aramaic Scholars said that the Peshitto is an edited Peshitta. The recent Peshitto is Rabbula's revisions were never accepted in the East (Persian Empire) which was revised once in 508 and again 616 to align itself with Greek, has later reading of Hebrews. The Church Father Origen recorded the Peshitta version of Hebrews 2:9-10 that no Greek mss has regardless of antiquity. Other discrepancies include the story of the woman taken in adultery (John 7:53-8:11) which is not only missing from all Peshitta mss from the 4th-9th centuries but also from the four earliest Greek mss as well, as well as three lines in Luke 22 that were added in Greek but never present in Peshitta. Acts 20:28 originally said "Messiah" at the end (Peshitta) but then was altered to read "God". One more thing all of Yukhanan are very different between Peshitto & Peshitta.

      Thank you.

SOC and CotE use the same Peshitta. There are only a couple of variants or
so in Hebrews reflecting Christology; the rest is the same.
