There is a book "Catholicos of the East and His People". It was first
published in London in 1892, long before 1912 Catholicate establishment in 1912. This book is written by Arthur J. Maclean and William H. Browne, two Anglicans who served in Persia for five years in the Archbishop of Canterbury's Assyrian Mission.
Even though this book is written about the Nestorian , Church of the
East, it is interesting to see what they have to say about the Church
of the East, the Catholicate of the East and its relationship to the
Church of Antioch.
I have added the coverpage of the book and page 4 of the book to the

It has been noticed for the past couple of years hat the Church Calendar highlights the 'Hijra' dates along with the Gregorian date. Basically there is nothing harmful in first shot, but there is a damage behind that.Hijra year is basically the year Muslims calculate as the year when they received Quran to them. My question, Are we Christians accept and acknowledge the same?St. Pauls says to Galatians 1: 9 "As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."Keeping this in mind; how do we highlight Hijri year? Let normal calendar carry it for business reasons, but Church Calendar shall not...Please express yourself with comments....Rgds
