The gift of 'Throne' to the Patriarch
- The media report on the gift from Malankara to the Patriarch of Antioch during the Patriarchal silver jubilee celebrations, in the form of a 'Throne' with an inscription of the picture of St. Thomas on it, was found out false.
Many Kerala media reported this matter and thus the news was given in SOCM Forum as well. However, upon verification with the Patriarchal 1st Secretary for Indian Affairs Mor Athanatius Gheevarghese Metropolitan, it was confirmed that the symbolic 'Throne' presented to the Patriarch was by the Patriarchal Assistant Mor Athanatius Elia Bahi, on behalf of the Holy Synod of Universal Syrian Orthodox Church, and the picture inscription on it was St. Peter and NOT St. Thomas, as was reported by the Kerala Media.
