Re:Three silly questions
It is very interesting subject and well neglected by our church and its leaders. In my knowledge they never bothered about these things and many of our faithful has the same doubt and some of them already left the church due the misunderstanding.
Who ever ask these questions to me I always asked them a counter question and they never replied me, which is Where is written in the Bible not to pray for the dead one?
What is this so called Death?
I dont think this is end of a man/woman. All who passed away from our eyesights are just SLEEPING only. Just refer the following verses.
John 11:11-14, Jesus said, our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.... Jesus Spoke of his death...Lazarus is dead,
Mat 9: 18-24 My daughter died. But Jesus replied, The girl is not dead but sleeping, and they ridiculed him,
1 Thes 4:13. Apostle Paul says, But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep,
Deut 31:16, The Lord said to Moses, You shall sleep with thy fathers,
Dan 12:13, Lord said to Daniel, You go your way till the end, for you shall rest and rise for your reward at the end of days,
Is their any sort of benefit in doing so?
Please read and understand the Parable told by our Lord God in Mat: 18:21-35.
In 34: In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
How a man can pay back all he owed while he is in Jail? I think there is only one way. Pay whatever he owed by his friends or loved ones who are outside the jail. This is what we are doing for our SLEEPING loved ones.
If I am wrong please correct me.
In Our Lords Love
