On 2nd November 2004 the church celebrates the 102nd Dhukrono of Chathuruthil St. Gregorios Bava (Parumala Thirumeni) and the 97th Dhukrono of Kadavil Mor Athansius Paulose (Kadavil Thirumeni I).

Born in the Kadavil Kooran family of North Paravur, Mor Athanasius was ordained Metropolitan on 2 November 1876 at the North Paravur St. Thomas church by the Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Pathros IV. A week later Chathuruthil Mor Gregorios Bava, popularly known as Parumala Thirumeni, was also ordained Metropolitan at the same church by the Patriarch assisted by Kadavil Mor Athanasius Thirumeni. Both these Metropolitans together with the Malankara Metropolitan Pulikotiil Mor Dionysius Joseph were instrumental in the development of the Malankara Archdiocese after a period of great distress. On November 2nd 1902, St. Gregorios passed away and was entombed at the Parumala St. Peter’s church. Exactly five years later on the same date, Kadavil Thirumeni I also passed away and his mortal remains were interred at the St. Mary’s church near Thrikknathu Seminary, Aluva.
