A forthcoming encounter between Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox
youth of Europe is to take place at the Coptic Centre, Warburg near
      Kassel, Germany, 27 - 29 July 2001.

The aim of the Encounter is to discuss possibilities of future
cooperation between the youth, and to provide a forum for sharing
ideas and experience of Christian life. The meeting will unite 40
young people, representatives of youth movements of the Coptic
Church, Syrian Orthodox, Armenian, Ethiopian, Greek, Russian,
Romanian, Czech and Serbian Churches. The language of discussion will
      be English.

The programme will include discussions on the challenges of life
as Christians in contemporary European society, and the preparation
of common events in the future.

His Eminence Bishop Damian of the Coptic Orthodox Church in
Germany has generously offered both board and lodging to all
participants for the duration of the event. Archbishop Dionysios
of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Germany will also attend the meeting.

      conference,

Do not complain that "they" did not include "us"!
