      Dear all,

The Patriarchate has been shifted many times in the past,

AD 37:St.Peter establishes church in Antioch
AD325:Ptriarchate of Antioch established in the Synod of Nicaea
AD 518:Shifted to many monasteries in Mesopotamia in early centuries.
13 th Century: Deir al-Za`faran, near Mardin.
      AD 1933:Deir al-Za`faran to Homs
      AD1959:Homs to Damascus

Antioch and Mardin are in Turkey, NOT Syria.

Importance of Jerusalem has not vanished despite Christians being a minority there.

      Prayers,
      Varghese Abraham
