A REVIEW OF THE MIRACLE HAPPEND AT ST. PETER'S JSO CHURCH - BAHRAIN
      --------------------------------------------------------------------

On saturday, 21st January 2012, at around 6.30 pm, a member and his family came to the Church for praying. While all of them praying infront of the icon of St. Mary, his son (who is started to serve as altar boy recently) noticed that there is some tear like fluid flowing from the right eye of St. Mary. He showed it to his parents and another altar assistant present in the Church. They called the Vicar Rev. Fr. Thomas Nediyapalackal and showed it to him. Achen, after a close look, also confirmed the flow and informed the matter to the Managing Committee Members. The news spread like a wild fire in the island and people of different walks of life, nationality and faith started to flow to the church. The Visual and Print media personnel also arrived at the scene and confirmed the miracle. However, as per the request of the Managing Committee members to refrain from publishing the news in the media, they agreed to it, seeing the adverse effect of publicity of it can bring to the functioning of Church in a Muslim country. The Vicar informed the matter to the Patriarchal Vicar for Bahrain, H.E. Pathros Mor Osthatheos and as per H.E.'s direction, started doopa prarthana in front of the icon.

The Vicars of different churches (Marthoma, Catholic, Greek Orthodox etc.) visited the Church and witnessed the flow. On a daily baisis the flow was increasing slowly and hence people started to sit in the Church on 24hours vigil and observing fast. After the Holy Qurbono on Sunday, 22nd Jan., the Vicar requested the members to observe 3 days fast and will be concluding the same with Holy Qurbono on Wednesday. 25th January. Even after this 3 days of fasting people are determined to conitinue their 24 hours vigil and novena in front of the icon. The church is now kept open for all visitors and since saturday, along with evening prayer, intercessory prayer to St. Mary was conducted every day. Eventhough the flow is very slow, it is streadily descending downwards.

This particular picture was painted by a member of our parish Mr. Sony C. George and donated to the Church about 1.5 years back. It was auctioned during a charity sale, and the church member who auctioned and took the picture home, later returned it to the Church sighting some unwanted events at home, and as per the advise of a visiting priest to our church. Both of them are astonished to hear such a news first and came immediately to the Church to witness the miracle.

The miracle is still continuing and the Manaing Committee is giving all assistance to the visitors thronging to have a glimpse of the picture.

Oh.. Morth Mariam Yoldath Aloho (Mother Of God) Pray for us sinners, now and at all times and at the hour of our death, Amen.
