    19 June 2011, Texas: Mor Gregorios Syriac Orthodox Student Association’s (MGSOSA) of the Southern Region in the United States held their second retreat for the 2011 year. It was a summer retreat which held at St. Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church and St. Peter's Syriac Orthodox Church in Houston, Texas from Friday June 17 to Sunday June 19th with the help and support from the vicar of St. Mary's Church, Rev. Fr. Saji Kuriakose. The theme for the retreat was "the Holy Qurbono". Reflection Bible verse of the retreat was 1 Corinthians 11:24- 25. The main message was given by the United States' Archbishop His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho. Following his message were sessions, discussions and workshops led by Rev. Fr. Paul Thotakat, Rev. Fr. Mathew Kavumkal, Rev. Fr. Saji Kuriakose, Rev. Dn. Martin Babu, Rev. Dn. Shiryl Mathai, Rev. Dn. Anish Skariya, Rev. Dn. Abin Puravath and Rev. Dn. Zach Varghese. There were close to 90 attendees of the Southern Region at this fruitful retreat. Plans and goals are underway in moving towards a southern regional MGSOSA Fall Retreat in Dallas, Texas for October or November of year 2011. .
