KNANAYA SYRIAN CHURCH STARTED HOLY QURBANA IN BAHRAIN.
- The first Holy Qurbana by the Knanaya Syrian Church was celebrated on Saturday, 8th January 2011, at the National Evangelical Church premises.
Fr. Monai K. Philip, the Priest In-Charge, celebrated the Holy Qurbana at 7 pm, which was attended by the around 150 community members from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The Kalpana from Arch-Bishop Mor Severios Kuriakose, appointing Fr. Monai K. Philip as the Priest In-Charge for Bahrain, was read after the Holy Qurbana. "As soon as Arch-Bishop Mor Severios arrives in Bahrain, the formal consecration and naming of the Church will be done", it was announced by the Vicar.
Love feast was also arranged after the Holy Qurbana, for all people who attended it.
Regular Holy Qurbana will be celebrated on every Saturday at 7 pm at N.E.C Church, near American Mission Hospital. The Vicar's parsonage, also located near American Mission Hospital, will be consecrated on Monday, 10th January 2011 at 7.30 pm, after the evening prayers.
