The United Theological College, Bangalore is celebrating its centenary (100 years). There will be a grand centenary celebration tomorrow, July 8, 2010. It will start with a thanks giving service at 11:00 A.M. in the college, followed by a stone laying programme and the main event at 4:00 P.M. The honourable governor of Karnataka will be present along with the UTC council members and distinguished guests from all over the world. The Jacobite Syrian Church has been given a slot to speak in the main event. The church will be represented by H.G. Mathews Mor Aphrem and the chance to speak is a rare honour and shows the closeness of UTC to the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church. Please do pray for the college and the centenary celebration. The programme is given in the web page http://www.utcbangalore.in/events_of_centenary_celebration.htm

      Dear moderator,

The United Theological College, Bangalore celebrated its centenary (100
years) yesterday (July 8). There was a grand centenary celebration.
It started with a thanks giving service at 11:00 A.M. in the college,
followed by a stone laying programme and the main event at 4:00 P.M. The
honourable governor of Karnataka Shri Hans Raj Bhardwaj was present along with the UTC council members and distinguished guests from all over the world. The Jacobite Syrian Church was given a slot to speak in the main event. The church was represented by H.G. Mathews Mor Aphrem and the chance to speak can be seen as a rare honour and shows the closeness of UTC to the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church. The pictures from the main event are here with attached.
