      YELAGIRI HILLS: The 15th Biennial Conference of the Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI) was held at Yelagiri Hills from June 14-19, 2010. About 100 students from all over the country and staff and senior friends attended the conference. 'Witnessing to Christ', the theme of Edinburgh 2010 conference was also the theme of the biennial. Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Devesahayam of CSI Madras diocese gave the key note address. Dr. Aruna Gnanadason, former Director of Programs of the World
      Council of Churches, Dr. Bennet Benjamin and Dr. Vinita Eusabius were the other resource persons. Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the present
      chairperson of the SCMI led the bible studies. A Public reception was given to the delegates by the Varghese College staff and students in Vellore during which session, the SCMI History book was released. The first copy was given to Dr. Mathai Zachariah, former General Secretary of NCCI by the director of CMC Vellore, Dr. Suranjan Battacharjee. Mr. Samuel Ayakumar, the General Secretary of the SCMI was the chief organiser of the conference
